I have always wanted to own land.  Ever since I was a girl, tromping through the woods surrounding my family home, there was a deep yearning to possess a piece of God’s good earth–it seemed to me an incredible privilege.  Even then, God spoke loudest to me through his Creation–who can begin to comprehend it?  Early this year that dream came true when we were able to purchase fourteen acres in Edwardsville, Kansas, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude.  Here will be tales of the journey as we plan and build and seek to steward well the gift.  Oh, and also some tales of unexpected detours along the way, beginning with a brief move to Alaska!  Peace to you, and may you see in the beauty around you the love of our Creator.

For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
